The story of the Diamond Tapestry

The Diamond Tapestry idea

The idea to make a diamond tapestry for our rhythmic gymnastics diamond team came quite spontaneously. Shortly after the benefit performance of the golden girls, I learned about this new hobby. I was told that the final pictures became amazingly beautiful, so I decided to try. This is a kind of tapestry which is not meant for embroidery, but rather resembles a mosaic of small diamonds. Until that day, this is just my passion. For me it is like doing yoga for the soul.

What attracts me to RG

Accidentally or not, my interest in diamond tapestries coincided with the name under which the new girls convincingly entered into the elite of the rhythmic gymnastics: “diamonds”. This is not just a sport, it's not just a manipulation of pieces of apparatus, like throwing and catching. Their first routine may be defined as art, spectacle, emotion that you do not want to finish. After the girls won their first World Cup in Pesaro I felt the irresistible desire to make a diamond tapestry for these real Bulgarian diamonds. I have fallen in love with them in the mother’s way.

I enjoy this sport since the time of Aneliya Ralenkova, Iliana Raeva, Maria Petrova, Bianka Panova. What attracts me most is the beautiful and graceful dance, and I love those routines that touch you. Girls become beautiful women by practicing this sport. Besides, behind all the audience could see, there is hard work, discipline, ambition and constancy – all qualities that are worthy of everyone’s respect and admiration.

The making of the diamond tapestry I picked up the three photos from the site of BRGF. I wanted that all the girls are present, as well as the amazing leap of Simona Dyankova. I asked the company-producer whether they would make a tapestry using my own photo. I had to wait for the answer because it turned out that the tapestries were produced in Russia and I had to receive their confirmation. I waited for about 5 days before I received an offer from Russia, as the tapestry was delivered in about a month later. The optimal size they had offered was 70/48 cm. I started work at the end of August 2017 as my intention was the tapestry to be a Christmas gift for the girls. Unfortunately I did not manage in time. I worked mainly in the evenings because I go to work and I'm a housewife at the same time.

I managed to finish it in January 2018. Then I arranged for its framing. I chose a very good company. The glass is of a museum type – it allows seeing the shine of the small diamonds and at the same time protects the picture from the sun and all other light. I hope that the gold frame that I have selected will bring the girls only gold medals.

In conclusion

I have never done such a thing for anyone before, and I promised Simon Dyankova to surprise them again, but I will not say anything more now. It's between us. When I gave them this present, I was fortunate to see these "diamonds" with the same leotards, and I would like to call these kids the most gracious and exquisite goddesses of all. They are very beautiful, God bless them. I wish them to become absolute world champions and Olympic champions."

Идеята за диамантен гоблен

Желанието да направя диамантен гоблен за диамантения ни ансамбъл дойде съвсем спонтанно. Малко след бенефиса на златните момичета научих за това доста ново хоби. Бяха ми казали, че готовата картина става изумително красива и затова реших да се пробвам. Това е гоблен, който не се шие, а малки елмазчета се редят върху специално пано. Към днешна дата това ми е направо страст. То е като йога за душата.

Случайно или не, но интересът ми към диамантените гоблени съвпадна с името, с което новите момичета убедително навлязоха в елита на художествената гимнастика- „диаманти“. Това тяхното не е просто спорт, не е просто хвърляне и улавяне на някакви уреди. Техните първи съчетания са изкуство, спектакъл, емоция, която не искаш да свършва. След първата спечелена Световна купа в Песаро изпитах непреодолимото желание да направя диамантен гоблен за тези истински български диаманти. Заобичах ги като майка.

Какво ме привлича в художествената гимнастика

Харесвам този спорт още от времето на Анелия Раленкова, Илиана Раева, Мария Петрова, Бянка Панова. Привлича ме красотата, изящния танц, обичам съчетанията, които те докосват. Жените излизат красиви жени от този спорт. Освен това зад всичко, което ние зрителите виждаме, стои зверски труд, дисциплина, амбиция и постоянство. Все качества, които са достойни за уважение.

Изработването на диамантения гоблен

Избрах трите снимки от сайта на БФХГ. Исках да са всичките момичета, но и изумителния скок на Симона Дянкова. Направих запитване до фирмата, дали ще направят по моя снимка гоблен. Наложи се да почакам с отговора, защото се оказа, че гоблените се произвеждат в Русия и те трябвало да се съгласят. Чаках около 5 дни и от Русия дойде офертата, а самият гоблен след около още месец. Предложиха ми размери 70/48 см като най-оптимални. Започнах да го работя в края на месец Август 2017г. Исках да бъде подарък за момичетата за Коледа, но не успях. Изработвах го основно вечер и по нощите, защото аз ходя на работа, а и съм домакиня.

Завърших го Януари 2018. Последва и рамкиране. Избрах много добра фирма. Стъклото е музейно- позволява да се вижда целия блясък на малките елмазчета и в същото време предпазва картината от слънцето и всякаква друга светлина. Избрах златиста рамка, за да им върви на момичетата само на златни медали.

В заключение

Не съм правила подобно нещо за никого, но обещах на Симона Дянкова отново да ги изненадам, но няма да кажа нищо повече. То си е между нас. Когато им го подарих, имах щастието да видя тези „диаманти“ със същите трика и мога да ви кажа, че тези деца са ИЗЯЩНИ БОГИНИ. Много са красиви, Бог да ги пази. Пожелавам им да станат абсолютни световни и олимпийски шампионки.
